How do I join the IBTN Community directory?

From the IBTN website, browse to the “IBTN Community” area from the site’s main menu. Scroll down to the “Register Now” link. You can also choose “Create an Account” from the site’s main menu, or from the site’s home page.


Why can’t I access the IBTN Community directory?

You will be unable to view the IBTN Community directory until your membership is approved.


What kind of information can I add to my profile once my membership is approved?

When opening your account, the system prompted you for basic profile information. Once approved, your complete profile becomes available to you, allowing you to enter additional information about your fields of interests, contact information, geographical location, etc.


What privileges do I obtain once my membership is approved?

Once your membership is approved, you will have access to the directory and will be able to view and connect with other registered members.


How can I tell if I’m logged in to the IBTN Community website?

When you are logged in, you will have the following options from the main menu’s “IBTN Community” drop-down list:  Membership Directory, My Profile, Search Members, FAQ, and Log out.  The IBTN Community home page will also display the following message in the sidebar: “Welcome. You are logged in.”.


 How do I subscribe / unsubscribe to the IBTN Newsletter?

To Subscribe:

When registering as a member on the IBTN site, simply tick the box indicating that you’d like to be subscribed to the newsletter (you can choose between the English-language newsletter, or the French).

If you did not subscribe to the IBTN newsletter when registering as a member on the IBTN site, you can subscribe at any time by clicking the “Subscribe” link on the IBTN home page.

To Change your Subscription Preference, or to Unsubscribe:

Login to the IBTN Community site, and choose “My Account” (or choose “My Profile” from the top menu if you are not already on your profile page), then select “Emails & Newsletters” and then tick or untick the checkbox to reflect your preference. You may also choose to click the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any IBTN newsletter you have received, or email us and request to be unsubscribed.


How can I get help with my membership registration or profile?

Scroll to the bottom of the IBTN website and click the “Help & Support” link, or email us directly.


How do I edit or delete my membership profile?

To edit your profile, login to the IBTN Community and choose “My Account” (or choose “My Profile” from the top menu if you are not already on your profile page) then select “Edit Profile” and update the fields as needed.

To delete your profile, login to the IBTN Community and choose “My Account” (or choose “My Profile” from the top menu if you are not already on your profile page) then select “Delete Account”. Enter your password to confirm that you wish to close your account.


How can I change when the IBTN Community website sends me emails?

To edit your profile’s notification options, login to the IBTN Community and choose “My Account” (or choose “My Profile” from the top menu if you are not already on your profile page) then select “Emails & Newsletters” and then tick or untick the “I have got a new friend” checkbox to reflect your preference.
