How do I become an IBTN Member?

Membership is free; simply complete our application form. We will review your application and you will receive an email when your membership is approved.

What kind of information must I supply when I apply?

We require basic information (name, email, status, position, institution, and country) to create your member account on this website and your profile in the member directory. You can also supply additional information (location, credentials, areas of interest, keywords, and Twitter and LinkedIn profiles) for your member profile, or choose to hide your profile from the member directory. Once your membership is approved, you can edit this information at any time in the Member profile area of your Account page.

What privileges do I obtain once my membership is approved?

Once your membership is approved, you will have access to the Member Directory and will be able to view and connect with other registered members.

Why does the IBTN Member Directory look different since 2018?

The Member Directory was updated to upgrade privacy features to conform with the new requirements of the European Union’s GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). This upgrade will also pave the way for an upcoming (optional) social networking platform exclusively for IBTN Members.

Why can’t I access the IBTN Member Directory?

The Member Directory is only viewable by IBTN members who have signed in to the website. If you only recently applied for membership, please note that you will be unable to view the member directory until your membership is approved.

How do I edit my profile?

All of the information that appears in the Member Directory can be updated through the Member profile area of your Account page. You must be signed in to view this page.

How do hide my profile from the Member Directory without deleting my account?

Hide your profile through the Privacy options area on your Account page. Your account on this website will continue to function as normal.

How do delete my member account on this website?

Use the Delete account section of your Account page to delete your account on this website and all information associated with it. By doing so, your IBTN membership will also be discontinued. You can still stay informed about our activities by subscribing to the IBTN Newsletter using this newsletter subscription form.

How do I subscribe to the IBTN Newsletter?

You can subscribe to the IBTN Newsletter directly on the IBTN membership application form or at any time using our newsletter subscription form.

How do I unsubscribe from the IBTN Newsletter

You can cancel your subscription to the IBTN Newsletter by:

  • Clicking the “Unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any IBTN newsletter you have received.
  • Emailing us at help@ibtnetwork.org and request to be unsubscribed.
