Speakers have kindly provided responses to questions submitted by conference participants during the Discussion session that did not get an opportunity to be discussed.
- Question from Anne Berman – Could you share successful examples of mhealth implementation on an organizational level?
There are more stories about mhealth implementation failures in the literature, perhaps just because the successful interventions are integrated into routine and there is not much research about it. For instance, despite good scientific evidence regarding mobile interventions in the field of mental health, very few of these apps are used on a large scale.
- Question from Anne Berman – What would you recommend as a support procedure for managers interesting in introducing health into their healthcare context, e.g. for mental health. Iām wondering for example about Normalization Process Theory (the NoMad toolkit) as a help.
There are several implementation models and theory that can be used by managers to plan the integration of digital behavioral health interventions. The NoMad toolkit is one example, the Expert Recommendations for Implementing Change (ERIC) is another relevant tool matched to the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR). Instruments to assess organizational readiness to change are also relevant in order to identify organizations that are more ready to implement changes.
