A Researcher’s Guide to the Theoretical Domains Framework

The Theoretical Domains Framework (TDF) aims to provide a comprehensive, theory-informed approach to identify determinants of behaviour.

First published in 2005, a subsequent version following a validation exercise was published in 2012 and offers practical guidance for those who wish to apply the TDF to assess implementation problems and support intervention design. IBTN Founding Member Dr. S. Michie is co-author of this article published in Implementation Science.
